Not every part of our story is one we would have chosen for ourselves.
Sometimes life takes us in directions we never expected. We find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, questioning who we are, struggling with change, or carrying things from the past that are difficult to let go of. Other times, nothing is necessarily “wrong,” but something just doesn't feel right.
At Beyond the Script Counseling, I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating difficult experiences, facing unexpected changes, or feeling stuck in chapters of their lives they're ready to move beyond.
Sessions are available virtually throughout New Jersey and in person in Piscataway, NJ, with services offered in English and Spanish.
What You May Be Navigating:
Feeling sad or emotionally drained
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, overthinking everything or putting too much pressure on yourself
Struggling with confidence, self-doubt, or feeling like you’re not enough
Dealing with stress, burnout, or feeling like you’re constantly running on empty
Trying to separate what you want from what others expect of you
Going through a major change or finding yourself somewhere you didn’t expect to be
Grieving a loss
Having difficulty setting boundaries, saying no, or putting your needs first
Navigating relationships that leave you feeling unheard, misunderstood, or questioning yourself
Realizing that things from your past are still affecting you today
Feeling stuck in the same patterns, even when you want things to change
Feeling unsure about who you are, where you’re going, or what you want next
Wanting a space that’s yours—to talk, reflect, and understand yourself more deeply
You don't have to know exactly what comes next.
You don’t need to come to therapy with the right words or a perfectly defined reason for being here. Sometimes you just know that you’re ready for things to feel different.
My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, and support you as you discover what you want to carry forward and what you're ready to rewrite.
The things you've been through may be part of your story, but they don't get to write the rest of it.
